Act quickly and beat the road tax increase!
-
The bit that’s of particular interest to us here at Wilson and Co is that as new and used cars purchased before the end of March fall under the old system, our customers can save massively if they buy beforehand.
We’ll explain exactly how you could benefit from this by outlining the key changes below…
- The First Year Rates (FYRs) of VED will – on a scale from £0 for zero emission cars up to £2,000 for vehicles with emissions over 255g/km of CO2 – vary according to the CO2 emissions.
- Aside from zero emission ones (these will still pay nothing), a subsequent standard rate of £140 per year will apply to all cars.
- Vehicles with a list price of more than £40,000 will pay an additional premium supplement of £310 per year on the standard rate for the first five years in which a standard rate is paid.
To break it down further, if you were to pick up a brand new Vauxhall Corsa 1.3CDTi Design 95PS S/S ecoFLEX Easytronic from us before this April rather than after it then you’d save the following:
